A little about me…
Hi! I’m Melissa Jane. So maybe you’re wondering why my blog is called “Ossa Jane?” Well, I named myself Ossa (Ah-sa) when I first started talking, and to this day, my whole family calls me Ossa. So naming myself “Ossa,” was really my first attempt at creativity! I absolutely love all things creative, which includes, but is not limited to – beauty, fashion, decorating, cooking, writing, and crafting. I am married to my high school best friend, Brian, and we are proud parents to our only child, Nathan (10). We live in San Diego with our German Shepherd (Apollo) and our 2 cats (Rocky & Adrienne). I spent my 20’s (and part of my 30’s) owning a dance studio, teaching, organizing, and managing hundreds of children. After eleven years, I closed the studio and decided it was time to focus on my own family. I didn’t realize just how much of a creative outlet the dance studio was for me, or how much I needed that outlet in my life. So that is why I decided to start this blog. I needed a new outlet for my creativity. And here it is! I’ve wanted to start a blog for a long time, I just wasn’t sure I had the guts for it…but, I’m not willing to wait around for those to show up anymore! So here I am, putting myself out there in my little corner on the web, and I hope you enjoy getting to know me (if you don’t already).
2018 Update…My day job is now managing Physical Therapy Clinic!!! I love what I do, and I’m still enjoying my little creative space here on Ossa Jane!

my girlfriends, a good book, an oversized hoodie, jeans, a cup of coffee, cooking, the Lord, and my faith! My home is always where my heart is, and my family means everything to me!
